Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about BlockProve and blockchain notarization.

BlockProve is a solution for notarizing and permanently storing files on the Arweave blockchain. Your files are locally encrypted using AES-256-GCM, signed with a post-quantum CRYSTALS-Dilithium signature, and permanently anchored on the blockchain. Court-admissible digital proof, with no recurring subscription.
Each file is associated with a cryptographic fingerprint (SHA-256 hash) computed locally on your device. This fingerprint, along with a timestamp and post-quantum signature, is engraved on the Arweave blockchain. Any modification to the original file would produce a different hash, making falsification mathematically detectable.
No, never. BlockProve is built on zero-access, end-to-end encryption: AES-256-GCM encryption runs entirely on your device before any upload. Our servers only receive unreadable data blocks. Even BlockProve's own team is technically unable to access the content of your files.
Yes. BlockProve is available on Windows, macOS, iOS (iPhone & iPad), and Android. Desktop apps (Windows and macOS) work in standalone mode: they connect directly to the Arweave blockchain, independently of our servers. Even if BlockProve were to cease operations, your proofs would remain accessible.
In a ruling dated March 20, 2025, the Tribunal Judiciaire de Marseille officially recognized that a timestamp on a public blockchain constitutes admissible evidence (Article 1358 of the Civil Code — freedom of proof). A BlockProve proof therefore carries legally recognized probative value in French courts.
Quantum computers will be able to break classical cryptographic algorithms (RSA, ECDSA) in the coming years. BlockProve uses CRYSTALS-Dilithium, a post-quantum signature algorithm standardized by NIST, to ensure your proofs remain verifiable even against future quantum supercomputers.
